Ash practices primarily in the areas of general commercial, intellectual property, property and conveyancing.
Ash has a broad range of experience in business transactions including purchase and sale of businesses, franchises, capital raisings, due diligence investigations and the preparation and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial agreements. In the area of intellectual property, Ash has experience in protection, licensing and assignment of intellectual property. Ash has a special interest in all aspects of the commercialisation of trade marks including brand strategy, trade marks availability, prosecution, enforcement of rights and opposition. Ash has extensive experience in filing and prosecuting trademark applications in Australia and foreign countries.
Ash has gained hands on experience in a large range of property matters including drafting and negotiation of commercial and retail leases (acting for both lessor and the lessee) and commercial, retail and residential property transactions.
Ash holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ajmer, India. Ash also holds a Master of Laws from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology, Sydney. Ash qualified as a lawyer in India and after working for a multinational pharmaceutical company, he moved to Australia. Ash was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 2002.
